How to Fix TurboTax E-Filing Transmission Issues

TurboTax as familiar to many is a tax preparation software which helps to file the taxes and get the best returns. The software only asks for some basic information and rest can be calculated by this software. E-filing is basically the method of electronically filing the taxes on this software. The issues of E-filling transmission can occur and it can be seen as the most common as well as a frustrating problem. The issue usually occurs when the tax returns were not processed even after you had selected the ‘Transmit Returns Now’ button. Even if it is an error in internet connection or any other technical issue, prompt attention and solution are required to resolve the same. Till the issue is not resolved, you won’t be able to get the tax returns. Checking the Internet connection.

You must always file the taxes from the software when a proper internet connection is available. If you are facing issues for the same, you need to reset the router and the modem.

  • Shut down the system and also the devices which have been connected to the modem.
  • Switch off the Wi-Fi router and switch it back on after few minutes.
  • Power back the modem and wait for the lights to indicate that the modem has been switched on.
  • Now power on the system and relaunch the TurboTax software and continue with the process.

If even after re-establishing the internet connection, the problem still persists, you can try another step.

Troubleshooting TurboTax software:

  • Ensure that you are using the current version of the default browser and the OS has been updated. You can also use a different browser and sign in to the TurboTax software for e-filing.
  • Delete the browser’s history, cookies, and
  • Close any other program or application that has been running in the background. Also, disable the anti-virus scan that is going on or let it happen and then continue with the process.
